A 240-volt DC source supplies six series-connected lamps. The voltage across each lamp is measured to be 39 volts. If each lamp is rated 40 V/10 W, determine the:
a. total line drop in this circuit
b. total line loss in this circuit
c. total power dissipated by each lamp
d. total circuit current
e. resistance of each line conductor

Why are they connected in series?
how do I solve this?
