A 150-foot length of #12 AWG copper wire has a resistance of 0.243 ohms. What would be the resistance of a piece of the same wire that is 380 feet in length?

If the same size of AWG, you can look at this question as ohms per foot.

A 150-foot length of #12 AWG copper wire has a resistance of 0.243 ohms.

therefore .243 oms / foot     (per means divided by)
= 0.00162 ohms per foot.

What would be the resistance of a piece of the same wire that is 380 feet in length?

380 feet * 0.00162 ohms/foot = 0.6156 ohms!
